The Journey

Have to be reminded sometimes

How would you rate your journey thus far?  Smooth, bumpy, full of detours?  We are each a product of our individual journey and it has shaped us in many ways.  I personally am an 'A to B' type of traveler.  I like to know where I'm headed and the shortest way to get there.  Life doesn't work that way, does it?  It is said, 'A truly happy person enjoys the scenery on a detour.'   Okay, that's never happened in my life..lol.
If we don't learn from the pitfalls of our journey, we are most likely to end up in a rut.  The lessons of life are meant to teach us in our weakest areas.  I would say 'patience' is a big theme of mine and these two weeks of flu sickness is not a detour I would've chosen.  It has taught me to put my agenda on hold and let the Lord work on me...in His timing.
Don't rush your journey and the process that is working in you.  You're right where you need to be.

  2. Well, actually I can say more than that;)... I have done the "prove you are a robot" copy-the-letters- that-no-one-in-their-right-mind-can-see and I've only had to redue one password thingy! I've figure out the secret: capital letters do make a difference! And go with your first thought!

  4. Indeed, it's so easy to look at the "now" and say, "This is a big mess and not where I need to be at all." Yet when we look into the past, we see the threads that bind the tapestry of life together. I am so thankful for a Sovereign Lord who directs my path. What a mess I would make of it on my own! Very encouraging. Thanks, Angiel

  5. This is not the journey I would have chosen, it is far better than the path I would have created on my own, God has been good to me. If we look at the near misses, almost crashes, stupid things we have done it is amazing that we are survivors, there must be a purpose for us to be here. Dad

  6. LOVE the picture and the message! James and I have matching trike shirts that "say"....It's not the destination...it's the ride! Isn't it amazing that sometimes when we think we are in the worst mess, after God brings us out of it....that is the time that makes such a memory and from which we have learned so much? I can now laugh at some of my real predicaments in times past, when at the time I thought the world might come to an end, LOL! I love that saying that goes something like..."We must remember where we come from, for that has determined who we are." Thankful for my roots and for every step of my journey thus far...it was God's plan for me and Who else could better direct my steps? Love you, T.
