Don't Show It Off

underwear

Have you seen more than you wanted lately?  Do we really need to know whether you're in boxers or briefs by the naked eye?  Isn't it called 'under'wear because it's not to be seen?  The practice of wearing your pants half down and your underwear half showing puts a spotlight on your lack of thinking ability.  Buying a belt or pants that actually fit will do you more good than just to your waistline.   Modesty is not a lost art.
Have you heard more than you wanted lately?  Knowledge is good but only to a point.  Action speaks louder than words every time.  Some of the most recognized people on earth that are considered intelligent are totally ignorant on what's truly considered valuable knowledge.  It is said, 'when we open our mouths, we remove all doubt on whether people think we are foolish or not.'  Wouldn't you rather have someone show you what love is thru their life than just quote the verses?   ''But while knowledge makes us feel important, it is love that strengthens the church. Anyone who claims to know all the answers doesn’t really know very much. But the person who loves God is the one whom God recognizes.'' 1 Corinthians 8;1-3

  1. I love this. Especially the line "Isn't it called 'underwear' because it's not to be seen?" Not guilty on that count, trust me!
Might have nailed me on the other point though...Ha!

  3. Good point. Besides that, if one doesn't keep his mouth shut at least some of the time, he'll never know that the other person is thinking that he is not very intelligent! (Who knows? Maybe that's the best thing for us dummies...it may remove all doubt from the other person's mind, but we'll never know it!) (Just kidding, I agree 100%. Now to shut my typing down. It's screaming at me!:)

  4. Great one, Angie. Beth Moore says, "Practice honesty with modesty". Who wants to hear us go on and on and on about all the gory details? We cannot listen if we are talking! Also, the low-slung pants is one of my pet peeves. What is the point??? I have never understood that, even when Gray used to wear his pants like that (not into that anymore, thank goodness!). What point is that trying to make?? Beats me. We are going to Orange Beach in about two weeks and I can only imagine what "sights" we are going to see on the beach, against my wishes. Some people just do not know how to use good judgment when it comes to swimsuits. I sometimes wonder if they even look in the mirror before stepping out onto the sand. Lord, please let me and my family (Jama/Chad/kids are going too) practice MODESTY!! You are right....it is not a lost art and we need to make it popular again! Love you, my friend...have a GREAT day in the Lord...T.

  5. Hi Angie, So True! I am tired of seeing women’s thongs, and butt tattoos, breasts, pajamas, and men’s underwear and backsides. The Bible tells us to dress modestly. Somewhere along the way we have forgotten to teach our young to dress modestly and in such a manner as to please the Lord. Aunt Robbie
