I agree with this caption up to a point, regarding my blog posts.  I really don't believe that 'I' or anything I write can 'change' a person's mind.  What I can do is plant seeds into another's mind and let God cultivate it from there.  Minds are made up of different kinds of soil so whether the seeds take root or not is not up to me.
Matthew 13;18-23  “Listen then to what the parable of the sower means: When anyone hears the message about the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in their heart. This is the seed sown along the path. The seed falling on rocky ground refers to someone who hears the word and at once receives it with joy. But since they have no root, they last only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away. The seed falling among the thorns refers to someone who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, making it unfruitful. But the seed falling on good soil refers to someone who hears the word and understands it. This is the one who produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.”
I also agree that Christians should support each other in their beliefs, so the feedback I get thru my blog comments is a strong encouragement to me. I wish I had more comments that told what the reader got from the posts.  'Christians find strength and encouragement in numbers. A believer alone is vulnerable to temptation, but when supported by several fellow Christians, becomes a much more effective witness for Christ.'
Psalm 133;1  '' Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!''

  1. I have heard a number of people who say they read you blog, or look forward to reading your blog daily. Just because they do not make a comment, do not be discouraged you are planting seeds and not all of them fall on fertile soil. Keep blogging, Keep sharing it is good for the readers to hear from you and you will be rewarded for your efforts. Love Dad

  2. Amen to your dad's exhortation to keep it up. I look forward daily to reading what the Lord has to say through you. It is a real encouragement to me. We all need someone to stand with us. "And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him—a threefold cord is not quickly broken." Eccl 4:12

  3. You have probably heard about how the weakest animal in a herd is the one who falls back and often gets attacked by predators. There are times when I hesitate to say what I believe. (You may be surprised to hear that but it's true.) Your blog always points true North, always towards the truth of the Bible. And it has strengthened me in my desire to speak the truth, no matter how others may interpret what I say.

  4. Love this post. So true....we can only plant the seeds (which is what we are called to do). God does the rest. I am sorry I have been "out of pocket" the last couple of weeks. But like your dad says, when I miss your blog, I always try to go back and catch up. God's messages....and yours....are always applicable. Love you, sweet friend, T.
