Strength

Life has many ways of testing our strength.  When it rains it seems to pour, huh?  So many people I know have been sick this month and now I add my name to the list.  I don't know which is harder; to endure suffering or to watch others suffer?
If I were the mouse above, my cheese would be the planned trip to Canton, TX.  I will not give up but bear with the circumstances.  'Being defeated is often a temporary situation.  Giving up is what makes it permanent.''
'You never know how strong you are until being strong is your only choice.'  I've waited all week to get some medicinal relief from my doctor and today he basically said 'just wait it out.'  So, there you have it.  My strength comes from the Lord alone.
'Physical strength is measured by what we can carry; Spiritual strength by what we can bear.'  So I can truly say 'I am weak, yet I am strong.'

  1. You must be one of God's favorites as He centainly tests you often. You and Job will meet and discuss you faith and strength, I hope I get to listen to that conversation. If it is God's will, we will go to Canton next week if not we will do what he wants us to do, as He in in total control. Love you,
    Dad

  2. So sorry you are sick 😕 It has been an awful month for many. Praying the "wait" to get better doesn't last too long and that you get to go to Canton.

  3. I don't know why you get tested so much---maybe it is to make your Dad and I stronger (I think you are already strong in so many ways). It is difficult for us to see you struggle and not be able to do something to make things better. I have been praying for you to feel better soon along with many others. Yes there have been many we know struggling lately--we know God knows and he has His plans. Mom

  4. If you are like that mouse, Angie, then you are like Reepicheep or whatever his name was in Narnia, Voyage of the Dawn Treader - one of my favorite characters in the Narnia series, braver than the "bigger" people around him and always searching for new worlds to conquer. Right now I know you'd just settle for a little relief and a trip to Canton but I know once you feel better again, you won't stop there. Because I know you.

  5. Your weakness (aka strength!) helps to keep me strong! I would not wish that on anyone, but at the same time I am so thankful to be able to draw from your strength. What some would consider disability, I and most others who know you recognize as superhuman strength, capacity to endure and to encourage many, many others to do the same. And all in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I thank my God for every remembrance of you!

  6. WOW....what a great testimony! And so absolutely true of you and your character. God supplies our every need WHEN we need it! How trusting and patient you are. Like Gloria said, you keep me strong and are such a great example for me. So thankful you are in my life....love you, T.
