The Jewelry Box

You're probably beginning to think that I have the best friends EVER and you'd be absolutely right!  LOOK at what my friend, Dale, made for me with his own two hands in the woodshop and had shipped to my front door today.  It is a gorgeous jewelry box made out of walnut [I think] with my initial 'A' engraved in the lid and gold layers to accentuate its beauty.  Dale said the box turned out larger than expected but I say that his thoughtfulness couldn't have been contained in anything smaller.  I'm overwhelmed by the time, effort, cost and creative craftsmanship that was meant for little ol' me. Words can't express how blessed I feel but 'Thank you, Dale! I LOVE IT!'
Psalm 21;6  ''Surely you have granted him unending blessings and made him glad with the joy of your presence.''   This verse describes how I have felt lately with the love of Christ shown thru my dear friends to me.  I'll continue to say it, 'I'm blessed beyond measure.'

  1. What a beautiful gift!! Please give my name to Dale and tell him to put me on his Christmas list. Seriously, that is a wonderful gift and I am sure it was made with lots of love. The "A" is such a beautiful finishing touch...personalized just for you, dear friend. Yes, you are blessed, and you are also a very special blessing to so many. Love you, T.

  2. Dale, you are a jewel! (Pun intended!) What a blessing indeed, Angie, but he couldn't have done this for a more precious jewel than you. I, too, am grateful for the wonderful friendships with which God has surrounded you . You are indeed blessed beyond measure, and I believe with those measures that you mete out to others. "Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you." Luke 6:38)

  3. Angie, that is just beautiful. Do you have enough jewelry to fill it. I’m sure I would, but it needs layered boxes.
