Laugh Thru It

Well this caption is true in that you must find the humor in the difficult moments.  After reading this post, you may think Karla and I are a little warped.  ''We don't care!!''
Not during this current illness of mine, but one like it several months ago I was doing my usual coughing routine.  As my face is looking directly into what I just coughed up, I think to myself  'that looks like a lil gnome guy.'  As I contemplate whether to share my weird thought with Karla or not, she says outloud my exact thoughts.  We described what we saw and just laughed at the weird wavelength we were both on.  If it wasn't so gross, we'd have taken a picture.
We all have our trying moments but laughing about it can remind us not to be so serious in those trials.  I heard yesterday that '5 minutes of laughing is worth 15 minutes on the treadmill.'  Now which do you prefer?

  1. Will definitely start laughing... :) I have also had funny thoughts at weird moments. It actually helps - I don't think we get the gross stuff from God but I think we get the ability to see humor in un-humorous situations from Him.

  4. No question about it, the treadmill. NOT! I'm glad that I'm not the only weirdo in the world. I have laughed at weddings (inappropriately) and funerals (the same), when I was so lost I couldn't find my way out, and many other times in life that didn't seem to be really funny. Laughter IS the best medicine. I don't feel well; I think I'll put on a comedy!

  5. I'll take laughter....give me laughter.....after all, it is the best medicine, right?! How many times have we thought we were in a total crisis, and we probably were, but then later looked back at that moment and laughed so hard we cried?! I know I have. If we could just find it in that moment, like Gloria does! Love you, my friend...ha ha ha ha ha!!! T.
