It's a God Thing

Sometimes we can watch the news and it can be so discouraging, that we just shut it off.  Other times tho, we can hear of God's work at hand in a miracle.  The story of Kali Hardig is a definite 'God thing.'
Who would have thought that swimming in a freshwater pool could have such lethal risks?  Kali got infected with a parasitic amoeba that attacks the brain tissue.  The doctors at ACH gave her an experimental drug that rid her spinal fluid of the amoebas.  She is one of 3 survivors to this bug and continues to make progress every day.
The Hardig family has also shown a 'God thing' of grace in not speaking maliciously against Willow Springs park.
God has used Kali to demonstrate His great power in love and healing to so many of us.

  2. Not being a watcher of the news, I was somewhat unaware of this. I had heard from someone that they had closed Willow Springs because someone got an infection, but didn't know the details. Indeed, God is in control, working in us "to will and to do of His good pleasure." whether we realize it or not. Thanks for sharing this, Angie.

  3. I have been watching Kali's recovery story and have been amazed. God works things out to His glory. I saw a post on FB this morning from "I Can Do All Things Through Christ Who Strengthens Me" and it reminded me of your post. Here is what it stated:
Friends, we have to understand that even though life is not always fair, God is fair. He promises that He will work all things together for our good. I believe the key word in today’s verse is “together.” In other words, don’t just isolate one part of your life and say, “Well, this is not good.” “It’s not good that I got laid off.” “It’s not good that my child got sick.” “It’s not good that my relationship didn’t work out.” Yes, that’s true, but that’s just one part of your life. God can see the big picture. That disappointment is not the end. Your life doesn’t stop because of one setback. That is simply one piece of your puzzle. There is another piece coming to connect it all because God promises to work all things together for your good!
Isn't that "good"?! Love it, and love you....T.
