Helping Others

Where is the focus of the world today.... material or eternal?  I wonder if some people think there will be IPhones in heaven.  My friend pointed out to me how our need/want of everything to be faster, just adds to our impatience levels.  I agree and think we all have a little attention deficit in our systems.
If we help others, with the right and willing heart, then we will gain patience and understanding in more ways than one.  It's all about taking the focus off of ourselves and onto another's true needs.  'Love one another' is not an option but a command and it's not followed by 'when it's convenient.'
Some people do help others and then when they need a hand, the too busy excuse comes into play.  You will make time, if it's important to you.

  1. Absolutely! You are so right on, Angie. We all do what we really want to do. (I am talking to myself here!) We are also commanded to do unto others as we would have them do unto us. No one wants to be forgotten. Love you, sweet friend....T.

  2. As Toby Keith sings "what about me?, what about me?" that is what the world is focused on, and all of the things I want. There will be a small group who finds the right path and focuses on eternity. Good Blog. Dad

  3. If people could get their fingers off their i-phones and get the ear pieces out of their ears, they might have time to hear from the Lord and know just what it is that He wants from them. (Can you tell that you hit on a pet peeve of mine? And I so needed to hear that, and what Twylia said, as well. "No one wants to be forgotten."
