No Fear

why did the chicken cross the road....to fear no evil

Do you walk with confidence because the Lord is your Shepherd?  or... Do you walk around oblivious to the dangers around you relying on your own strength?  The former is much better and peaceful than the latter.
This chicken, often like us, doesn't appreciate how death will come like a thief in the night and we must be prepared.  We just strut around living a life centered on our little coop.  Our feathers get ruffled when we end up in the valleys but do we praise our Protector?
'Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.' Psalm 23;6
If your trust comes from the Lord, your paths will be on the right direction.  If your trust is in yourself or your works, you will forever fall short.  We are saved by grace, not by works.

  1. What a timely post... We don't know what is around the corner and our nation was vividly reminded of that today. As Corrie ten Boom said, the only safe place is the will of God.

  2. So true. Today's events in Boston showed us once again just how uncertain and untrusting this world can be....even an unhealthy and unsafe place. Our hope is built on nothing less than Jesus' blood and righteousness. May I remember it every day and claim it at all times. Love you, T.

  3. If you are trusting in anything but God, you are on your own. Lost and doomed just as the events of today in Boston show us, life is fragile. Trust God. Good Blog Angie----Dad
