Mirror, Mirror

Mirror, Mirror

Most of us are vain and check the mirror for physical or cosmetic flaws.  It is good to check yourself but do you see past that?  God does.  What does your image reflect spiritually?  We too often see 'pretty' people in the world with an ugly attitude.  'God doesn't like ugly.'
Our walk in this life is meant to transform us into the likeness of Christ.  Colossians 3;12  'Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.'  Our talk must match our walk otherwise others will see the hypocrisy in our reflection.  The impression you leave on someone is from your total package.  Some people look smart until they open their mouths and remove all doubt.
Your TOM's will do nothing to help your walk with the Lord, so make sure that what people really see in you will show them the Spirit of Christ.  'You may be the only Bible they see.'

  1. Your blogs are so important to so many of us, we truely see you reflected in your blogs. I know you have many secret blog readers and this may be their only Bible. Keep planting seeds, as that is our role and it is up to the Holy Spirit to convict their hearts. Great Blog Angie-----Dad

  2. As I was praying this morning, I asked the Lord to keep me faithful to Him, no matter what the future holds, remembering that "charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but the woman who fears the Lord is to be praised." Thank you for the support as you reiterated that prayer in your own wise words. And yes, keep up the good work, Angie!

  3. Sometimes I so feel that I am NOT the best Bible someone could read....in fact, I KNOW that at times I am NOT. But my prayer is like Gloria's...that God will keep my faithful to Him and that I might walk and talk in a manner that reflects His goodness. Thank you for such a great, yet convicting, reminder, dear friend. Love you, T.
