I Am..

.....

Sometimes the world kicks us down so far, we forget who we really are.  I thought this caption was a good reminder to get us women of faith back on track.  When we try to be the supplier of everybody's needs, we can tend to lose ourselves.  The day's tasks may seem tedious and never ending but we must see it as part of His plan for us.  We should be humble yet as confident in our ability to do His will as He sees us to do it.
My friend came over without makeup and she said 'I guess you love me anyways, even without it?  Yes, of course.'  Real beauty is in the heart and shines through anything you can try to add.
If you're feeling a little on the down side, remember all the benefits of being one of His chosen.  There is no greater reward than for Him to call you 'friend.'  He made you beautiful, worthwhile, and with a plan in mind so that you are never alone.  Cling to those good thoughts when the world puts you down.  When you're feeling down, look up for His faithfulness.

  1. I'm glad your friend has you for a friend--I can't imagine going to someone's house without make-up! :o) Isn't it wonderful to know that not only are we His chosen, beautiful in His sight, but that we are also loved and accepted "as we are" by our sisters in Christ who love us unconditionally! What a blessing you are, beautiful little sister!

  2. Great post! I think it was written just for me! There are so many times when, even though I know I am doing what I am called to do and love my calling, that I feel as if I have lost myself. But this is such a good reminder that it is not what I do, but whose I am that matters.

  3. Isn't it wonderful to have such great friends that we can be seen "to the bare bone" and still be loved by them, without any "extra enhancements". I have some friends like that. But I have a God who sees me that way every moment! How thankful I am that we don't have to put on "airs" for Him...that He loves us just as we are...broken and all. Thank you, Jesus, for loving us just as You created us...help us to serve You in all we do...with the beauty of our heart and soul. Love you, dear Angie....T.
