He's Got You
One time, when I was a child, we were at the lake and anchored the boat a little ways from the bank to have lunch. I don't know what it was but I needed something from the boat. I had my shoes on and proceeded to go out there. Then and there, I learned the weight of my shoes and the lack of strength in my legs with them in the water. Whatever I needed, now wasn't so important and I got out of the water.
You too may be weighted down by things in life; like your job, bills, or responsibilities, but God will provide you with strength and all your needs. God will not take you further than His grace can save you. That drowning feeling from life's troubles can be scary and overwhelming but as the caption explains we always have a Watcher and Rescuer waiting for us to call on Him.
2 Corinthians 4;8-9 ''We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.''
2 Corinthians 4; 17 ''For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.''

I know after my sister was murdered as well as during other very trying times in my life--I found strength and comfort in God's word and through prayer. Like you said--He is waiting for us to call on Him. I am so glad we have someone wiser and more powerful to call on, lean on, and trust in. Mom
ReplyDeleteWoke up at 1 with reflux, my old friend:) Came out here and read this and was encouraged. Keep up the ministry, Angie :)
ReplyDeleteWhat an encouraging post, Angie! Thank you for sacrificing your time and energy to do this each day. You won't know until eternity what this has meant to some.
ReplyDeleteI needed this. I just hope I will trust and bring Him honor in the trying times as well as the good.
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful -- Thanks. Patsy
ReplyDeleteThank you Angie for your example of faith and endurance. God give you grace even today. Joel
ReplyDeleteThat is interesting, sometimes we forget that some of our knowledge comes from experience and experimenting.
