Pool Time

''I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.''   I used to love to swim and just be in the pool.  With increased weakness, that pleasure got altered to just sitting on the steps. While I used to be able to swim the length of the pool, jump off the diving board, and retrieve objects off the floor of the deep end.... well, the steps just don't offer that excitement I desire.
Karla follows a young boy, Tripp Halstead, on Facebook who was permanently injured when a tree limb fell on him.  He uses this WaterWay Babies floation device in the pool.  Karla showed it to me and I ordered it with the hope of having some freedom in the pool.
Today was our trial run and it was a success.  It may look goofy and I need a little more practice, but it's worth it to me.  You can only fly, if you're willing to spread your wings and try.

  1. Nice! How do you get it on though? Is it heavy duty enough to last you a while? (not that you would abuse it or anything;-)

    1. It is open in the back with two clasps. yes its heavy duty plastic

  2. Googy or not if it works for you, who cares. Hope you are in the pool every day, enjoy............Love You .............Dad

  3. Angie, that looks great! I've always loved snorkeling and that reminds me a lot of that, except right side up. Enjoy it to the max! Joel

  4. YOU GO GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so proud of you. You are fearless Angie. I want to be just like you when I grow up. Hee Hee
Have a ton of fun but watch for sunburn so load on that sunscreen.
    Love you bunches.

  5. With that determined spirit of yours, you cannot fail. Go Girl. Lookin good. Bonnie

  6. Yes, we can do all things through Christ who strengthen Us...I love this verse so much. When I feel weak or down this verse always comes to mind...I'm so proud of you for wanting to try the flotation device. Spread your wings and Float on Sweet Friend!!
