Control

There lies a FAITH in the absence of CONTROL

People do not like to be controlled, but so many are.  Are you controlled by anything?  Think before you answer and consider what you couldn't do without.  Cigarettes, alcohol. a favorite tv show, your smart phone, or your computer?  You may think 'control' is the wrong word, but if anything interferes with your life's activities in a negative way then it does have some sort of control over you.
Even God didn't want control over His children to love Him, but He gives us the choice.  Psalm 119; 30  ''I have chosen the way of faithfulness; I have set my heart on your laws.''  Our faith is believing in and letting go of the control of what we can't see or understand right now.  2 Corinthians 4;18  ''So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.''
And yet, Christ is ultimately in control over everything and our faith is strengthened and sustained by that fact.  Phillipians 3;20-21 'But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.'

  2. Just as little children have complete faith in their parents to do the right thing, we as adults should have the same type of faith in God. However just as little children get a little knowledge they want to do it their way, and we are no different, as we get some knowledge we want to do it your way.
If we get enough knowledge and some faith we will know His way is the best. Place you faith in God and not your own understanding.. Good blog, love you Dad
