Sinful Consequences

From Mere Christianity

There are so many things wrong in this world and it is all derived from sin.  We are all born into sin and are all facilitators of sin.  Only through your belief in Jesus Christ can your sin debt be paid in full.
Today is the March for Life walk.  Abortion is one of the many things that have gone wrong in this world. ''So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you'' Matthew 7:12  As Reagan said, 'I've noticed that everyone who is for abortion has already been born.'  How come selfishness overrules the helpless?  ''“You have heard that it was said to the people long ago, ‘You shall not murder, and anyone who murders will be subject to judgment.’'' Matthew 5;21
God wants to make things right with each one of us.  He insists very loudly about His forgiveness, will you listen and respond?  God is bigger than your biggest problem.  ''“Come now, let us settle the matter,” says the Lord. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.'' Isaiah 1;18

  1. Very timely and true blog. Selfishness is at the root of many sins. We should not murder and throw away helpless babies--there are always better alternatives. Mom

  2. I listened to Ravi Zacharias on the internet last night. He said something that really made me think. He said to imagine a person standing before God and saying, "Why didn't You do something about cancer or about this other disease? So many people suffered!" And God replying: I sent you so many brilliant people but you never let them live to see the light of day.

  3. It was a good rally. I believe they said it was the 36th Walk for Life in Little Rock. The cries of the unborn have not been forgotten. There was a big push for adoption, as well, and I'm glad to see that.

  4. I speak from gratitude and example...ADOPTION IS ONE OF GOD'S GREATEST GIFTS TO ME. I will be forever thankful to Him and to the birth mothers of my two children. So very thankful they chose adoption over abortion. Love you, T.
