Haves and Needs

Thank God

With Thanksgiving right around the corner, we are reminded more in the month of November to be thankful.  We take so much for granted that we really don't know what we have been blessed with beyond the visible material things in our lives.  We often don't realize what we had till it is gone.  A power outage, the water shutoff, or time away from home can all make you aware of the comforts of your everyday life that you forgot to count as a blessing.  What if all you had tomorrow was what you thanked God for today?
We often confuse our wants from our needs.  God has, does, and will supply and provide for all our needs.  ''Each day we face many challenges. Although there is no one-size-fits-all answer, our first action should always be to consult God. As He guides us, we can have confidence in Him. Then, whether the victory comes through His miraculous intervention or through His guidance, all the glory goes to God.''  When we ask God for different things, we are taking the first step in trusting Him.  Many never receive because they never asked, which derived from lack of trust.  God is bigger than any problem you face.
May we face each day with a trusting heart and attitude of gratitude towards Him.  I just want to THANK YOU, Lord.......thank you, Lord.

  1. And I repeat, "Thank you, Lord..." (and thank you, Angie.) Just the reminder I needed!

  2. We can never thank the Lord enough--no matter our circumstances. He is the only one with the wisdom, power, love and worthy of our trust. I am so thankful I know Him and trust Him--He is not a crutch, He is the supplier of all my needs. Mom

  3. I needed this too. It seems when James is away, everything breaks down or stops working. If I can't fix it myself, I am trying to learn to be patient and wait until he returns. Sometimes, I do pretty well and other times not so well, depending on what is broken! The old saying is, "You don't know what you have until it is gone." May I be ever thankful for all God's blessings when I have them....He has blessed me abundantly. Love you, T.
