Someday

"DO TODAY'S DUTY, FIGHT TODAY'S TEMPTATION; do not weaken and distract yourself by looking forward to things you cannot see, and could not understand if you saw them." ~ Charles Kingsley

Can anybody tell me when your 'someday' will be?  We put off things because often we are uncertain of how to make it happen, wrong timing or just pure procrastination.  That's your choice but don't fool yourself into thinking your lack of planning calls for an emergency on someone else's part.  There are deadlines in this world and time management is key to making those less stressful.
'Someday' is a familiar date on the non-Christian's calendar.  Many people live on borrowed time with an eternal risk at stake.  Someday we will all die physically.  Don't race with the clock and try to beat it.  Choose to live your life for and with Christ....today,not someday.

  1. So true, Angie....we are only given this moment...not "someday". This may be our only opportunity to live for Christ. Thank you for this great reminder. Love you, T.

  3. I was thinking about this very thing today when thinking of some unsaved relatives and how they have time for partying on the weekend but not time for worshipping the Lord. They probably figure -- someday I'll do that but right now I want to have fun. God said we are not to have idols or any other god; if your putting Him last and 'fun' things first then I think you have another god. He wants us to have fun and he blesses us with so very much. I'm sure those 19 firefighters thought they would have lots more time and those people on that plane that crashed in Alaska thought they would have more time -- none of us know how much more time we have to make our choice to follow Christ and His instructions. 4. What your mom said is so true. The book of Hebrews said that Moses "chose to be mistreated with the people of God rather than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season." That season of pleasure will come to an end all too soon for the unbeliever. As for us who believe, procrastination can steal our time so easily, killing our witness and destroying our growth. Thanks for the good word, Angie.

  5. Excellent post....and you are so right. We are only promised this moment...not even tonight or tomorrow, much less someday. Love what you mom wrote too....we can all think of those who never suspected how quickly their lives would end. It could be any of us at any time. The important thing is to live for Jesus today and to be prepared for our last day (on earth) to be any day. Love you, T.
