It's a God Thing

Today marks the end of two years of blogging.  Can you believe it?  Time has gone by so fast but I've enjoyed sharing my highs and lows with you.  'It's a God thing' that I have this resource to convey with you how God is working in my life.  I'm a work in progress, as we all are.  'How am I?  Still working on perfect.'  Yet humble enough to know I'm so far from it.
I've thought long and hard about whether I should continue blogging into my third year.  My fears are mostly of being repetitive.  I've heard two sermons in the last month that have encouraged me to continue on.  One on how many times God tells us He loves us in the Bible.  The books Matthew, Mark and Luke have the same topics and even verses because God knows we need to hear things more than once.  So repetition is good sometimes.
The second sermon was on being an encouragement to others in many ways.  2 Corinthians 1; 3-5  ''Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ.''  If I can help others through my stories of how I handle my suffering moments and trials, then I think it benefits both me and my readers.
So thanks for hearing me out for the past couple of years and may the third be just as encouraging to you and me both.

  1. Good decision, you are such and encouragment and to many whom you do not hear from they may be the ones who need to hear you the most. And repetition is good for all of us, if it were not the Bible would be a lot shorter, we would not need Mark and Luke, and we often hear repetition in a different way, we may not really hear what you say depending on our state of mind. 2. You are SO smart! We often need lessons repeated to us time and time again. I am so glad you have decided to "keep on keeping on". So many times the words that you write and share with all of us are exactly what I need to hear that day. I don't even mind having my toes stepped on, as that makes me strive to be a better follower of Christ. God has a way of providing us with exactly what we need to hear when we need to hear it. You are a blessing, Angie, and such an inspiration to all of us. So thankful for you and your friendship, and look forward to another year of your insight, experiences, and wisdom. You enrich my life in so many ways!! Love you, my sweet friend....T.

  4. I don't see a lot of repetition in your blogs and love your personal slant on things, plus your sense of humor. If you don't continue, there will be a void in cyberspace, which has too many voids as it is :)

  5. I am glad you are going to keep on blogging about the Lord and your experiences and insight. You are an inspiration and I am so proud of you. I may not get the blog read always the same day you do it--but I always read them and look forward to what you have to say. So often I am in awe of how well you say things and your wisdom--I really believe it is God inspired and you should keep doing them as long as you feel like it and God gives you a message to share. Love, Mom

  7. Well Angie, I vote loud and clear that you need to go for the third year!!!!! I for one forget way to much that I have heard and two years is a long time to remember that you wrote on something and think it was redundant. Not going to happen with me.
I love the ones that you make personal with your trips to fun events, etc. Also when you need prayer we can all join in on that for you. So go for it girl and God will give you great and mighty encouragements for all of us as well as for yourself.
Love you for taking the time to do these blogs. You are an amazing encouragement to all who read them.
