What We See

wisdom

Perspective is how we see things.  Is it always right?  No, of course not.  We are biased, influenced and tainted.  I think it is interesting to hear someone else's comments on the same thing I just heard or saw.  It can open my eyes or ears to something I totally missed.
Negativity can become a bad habit.  'You must learn a new way to think before you can master a new way to be.'  Do we look for the good in things or the troublesome parts?  I think life is like a rose, it has thorns so we will handle it with care and still get the beauty out of it.
How do you turn a negative into a positive?  It's as simple as math, add positivity. -1 plus 2=1  So for every negative comment you hear, counter them with two things on the bright side.
May you see the bright side of the ugliest days and share it with those who need glasses.

  2. Love it! The message and the quote from Abe. That may be my new favorite quote for awhile. Remember, I'm fickle!

  3. I love this! I have a FB friend who complains about EVERYTHING. I just want to point out the good in her situations to give her a different perspective. There is always a way to see things differently.

  4. Love this! Love seeing the positive. And, besides, even when we are "feeling" the negative, Jesus is right there with us and sees us through the good, the bad and the ugly. We are much happier if we focus on the up side and not the down side. Why borrow trouble? I think roses are one of God's most beautiful flowers...thorns and all. If we didn't have the thorns, would we really appreciate the rose? Not as much, I'll bet. Love you, sweet friend...T.
