You may have heard recently on the news about parents that had wire-tapped their children for school to prove the abusive claims of their children about their teachers. The recordings proved the cruel and abusive language used on their kids by the adult in charge. I personally think they should be fired on the spot. That is not an example to be taught.
Do you claim integrity as a personal characteristic of yourself? Integrity consists of honesty, reliability, not being swayed by immorality, and righteous behavior. If you were wire-tapped, would it need to be edited to get a G-rating?
Even when we think we are alone, we never are. God is always watching and listening to us. Nothing is hidden from Him. Convicting, huh? That is why we need to meet with Him every day in prayer, spend precious time in the Word and fellowship with other believers. We each need accountability to keep us from veering off the narrow path.
Instead of looking into someone else's bathroom cabinets when you're alone, I encourage you to look into your own. Hebrews 4:13 ''Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.'' Luke 8:17 ''For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out into the open.''
Proverbs 2:1-9 "My son, if you will receive my sayings and treasure my commandments within you, make your ear attentive to wisdom, incline your heart to understanding; For if you cry for discernment, lift your voice for understanding; If you seek her as silver and search for her as for hidden treasures; Then you will discern the fear of the Lord and discover the knowledge of God. For the Lord gives wisdom; From his mouth come knowledge and understanding. He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; He is a shield to those who walk in integrity, Guarding the paths of justice, And he preserves the way of His godly ones. Then you will discern righteousness and justice and equity and every good course."

ReplyDeleteGreat advice. I was just talking about this to the girls. That every thought, every deed, every word is known by the Lord. There is NOTHING that we can hide from Him. Should help us to be people of integrity if we keep that thought in mind.
ReplyDeleteHow all of us should remember that God sees, hears, and knows all, that we are never out of His sight. I once heard this definition of the fear of the Lord--"the painful but motivating awareness that God is watching, weighing, and judging all of my words, thoughts, actions, and attitudes." If we would only fear the Lord, how different our actions would be.
