Way Back Wednesday

Psalm 90:14
''Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love, that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days.''

Okay this picture is proof that I have never been a morning person. I've barely got my eyes open. Photography should be illegal before noon, don't you think?
Morning, what does it mean to you?  It's a new dawn, it's a new day.  God has granted you another day of life with His great faithfulness.  'This is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it.'
Maybe it would be a good idea to think on that before we think about our busy agendas for the day. Start the day with an attitude of gratitude to the Lord, whether it be 5am [not me] or 9am.

  1. That picture truly is worth a thousand words! I'm not a morning person either. Tried getting up at 5:30 to have a Quiet time in my early 20's and to make sure I stayed awake, I got on my knees beside my bed. On the third day, I woke up and my pen was making long line down the page as my hand was dropping towards the bed... I'm thinking, God made midnight for a reason... :)

  2. Mornings, mornings, I love mornings! Personally, I don't see why it's so hard to get up in the mornings. Just pop out of bed, wash your face, put a cup of tea in your hand, and viola! Morning! :-) Okay, so it's not for everybody. I just don't know how anyone stays awake consistently past 10 o'clock! Love you! Have a nice afternoon!

  3. That picture is too funny! I do pretty well in the mornings - much better than I do at night :) It sure does help to start the day rejoicing in the Lord!

  4. And I just wonder what time "Under Her Wings" (I won't name names!) goes to bed at night?! I don't think it is late like some of us! I used to be a morning person for many, many years when I was working....had my quiet time, the dishwasher unloaded, the clothes washed, the beds made, two lunches made, etc.....all before leaving for work at 7:30 a.m.!!! When I retired, the Lord said, "Rest, child, and get up whenever you want to!" So, now it is 7:30 or 8:00 BEFORE I even set the first foot on the floor and I LOVE it! Still stay up until about 11:00 p.m. most nights (also did that when I was working...I must have had a LOT more energy back then!), but many times catch that afternoon nap with Harley! Still so thankful for each new sunrise or cloudy day, and praise the Lord that this is the day He has made....I rejoice and am glad in it...no matter what time I arise! Love the pic....love you, T.
