How Rude

Pinned Image

I like this caption because now my reaction to rudeness can be to think how weak they are, instead of just getting angry back. I think you can go out and find rudeness almost anywhere any day of the week.  Why is that?  Short tempers, impatience, lack of understanding, arrogance and pride are just a few reasons. I think this applies to vocabulary too.  Cursing is just rude. A good comedian can tell a joke without any foul language but a weak comedian fills his lack of talent with obscenities.  Rudeness isn't a becoming feature so lets try to avoid it in ourselves and others.

''A rude nature is worse than a brute nature by so much more as man is better than a beast: and those that are of civil natures and genteel dispositions are as much nearer to celestial creatures as those that are rude and cruel are to devils.'' M. Cavendish

Proverbs 2;12-15
Wisdom will save you from the ways of wicked men,
from men whose words are perverse,
who have left the straight paths
   to walk in dark ways,
who delight in doing wrong
and rejoice in the perverseness of evil,
whose paths are crooked
and who are devious in their ways.

  1. It's a good way to look at rudeness; I'll try to put it into practice instead of getting ticked =/ Thanks!

  2. I often say, too, it's not necessarily what you say, but how you say it. Something can be said in kindness, and it will be taken well. The same thing said rudely can cut like a sharp knife.

  3. I was talking to the girls the other day about how people who feel bad about themselves tend to try to make others feel bad (ultimate rudeness). It is amazing to me how much easier it is to be nice, and yet, people choose to be rude...why?
