Well I'm glad the answer to the question above doesn't matter because I could go either way at this point. I'm taking lasix today by choice to help the swelling in my foot go down. It's not serious but just a nuisance. I'm hoping the end justifies the means because it doesn't make for a fun day.

The more you think of God's goodness, the less your focus will be on your troubles. 'Each day can bring more joy than sorrow when our mortal and spiritual eyes are open to God's goodness'. It reminds me of the guy who drowned and asked God 'why didn't you help me?' God answered 'I sent a life preserver and a raft but you ignored them'.
There are no rainbows without rain, but do you see them? There is good in 'every' day, even if we label it a bad day.

ReplyDeleteAngie, I'm sorry to hear about your foot, what has happened? Unless we hold on firmly to the reality that God is good, we don't have chance, do we? Tricks that help deal with the pain might last a little while, but after that it's just a raw struggle of existence. Most of the goodness of God is seen in hindsight, isn't it. Until then it's just a matter of raw trust. I will pray for you today. Hold on. Joel
ReplyDeleteMomma said, "There'll be days like this!" But, like you said, if we keep our focus on Jesus and His goodness, a bad day can always be better. I have always heard that "something good comes out of everything bad", referring to life. I know that if we are continually seeking God's will in our lives, that He is with us in all circumstances, and whatever happens will be for our good and His glory. Romans 8:28 states it and I claim it! Praying I can always live it! Love you, my friend....have a GOOD day! T.
