A Desire for More

C. S. Lewis :)

This past Monday night we completed our women's Bible study on the Book of Revelation.  I can tell you alot of it surpassed my mind but it did reassure me that God does have a plan and it will all come to be one day.
We ended with combining both Rev 21 and 22, which both relate to what heaven will be like.  Rev 21;1  ''Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,” for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea.''  Rev 21;3-4  '' And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God.  ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
As the caption implies, there is so much more to put our hope and trust in that this world cannot begin to give.  I think of us like a baby in the womb.  We are created for so much more but in His timing only will he push us into that new realm.  He does give us a taste thru the Word of a preview of what is to come.  Isn't it exciting?  'This world is not my home, I'm just a passing thru.'  As I look ahead, I trust He's got my back.

  1. Our time on earth is just like a "pop test" if we pass (accept Jesus as our savior) we have an eternity with him. I am sure he has a big reward for you in Heaven. Dad

  3. Ang, I think we all got through that class comfortable knowing that there were some things we would just have to wait to understand when we see God face to face. Love you so much. grace

  5. Angie, I just read this one this morning and was very comforted by the thought that although I am not aware of it sometimes, I am longing for heaven. Thanks again for your example and words of peace. May the Lord be very dear to you today. Joel
