Okay, so this is a funny Thanksgiving caption, but I think there's more to it. Do our words really reflect who we are?
We can say one thing that sounds good, but in our heart lies bitterness. Are we lying to ourselves or are we lying to save face? I think this is where gossip and hurt feelings begin. As with these turkeys, there is a motive in our words. Sometimes people pretend to be something they are not just to fit in with the crowd around them, but that doesn't make it real.
So, if you say you're a Christian....do your words reflect it? Or is the world blind to your claims and hears something else? You're talk and your walk must coincide to reflect the true you...good or bad.
Is this another "truth" regarding the tongue?! Seriously??? And it covers a slightly different area with actually meaning what we say. Many times when I say something, I think, "Now is that how I really feel?" Sometimes it is, but sometimes it is not. Striving to walk the talk in every circumstance. Keep the truths coming, sweet friend.....I need 'em! LU, T.
