Yes, I am surrounded by God's blessings to me. As I look around, I can see things given to me by different people and am reminded of their part in my life. Everything in your life can cause a moment of memory reflection, if you give it the time. Pictures can account for a thousand words and show you God's faithfulness.
As we celebrate Thanksgiving, take the time to count your blessings of the past and present. We take so much for granted, but we'd certainly notice if those things were gone. Let's give thanks for what He has given and taken away....it's all for our good.
SO TRUE!! Everytime the weather turns a little cool, I say a thank-you prayer to Jesus for my warm house. We can NEVER run out of "things" to be thankful for....and I pray that I will not take any of it for granted. We need to be thankful every day of the year, not just Thanksgiving Day. Our blessings are bountiful and God is the source of every one of them. Thanking Him for you, my dear friend....love you so much, T.
ReplyDeleteYes we should thank God for both what He has given us and what He has taken away--temptations, evil thoughts or persons, dangerous situations, etc. etc. 'The voices of a million angels could not express my gratitude; all that I am and every hope to be, I owe it all to thee--TO GOD BE THE GLORY'. His wisdom is so much greater than ours the only wise thing for us to do is trust His wisdom. Mom
