Happy Father's Day
My dad has all of these qualities and most of them to the level described. He's a work in progress on the others. I have learned alot of these characteristics from him as I grew up by his example. If you knew my dad's meek background, you could definitely see that God had a plan for his life and I'm thankful that it included me. As they say, it doesn't take much to be a father but to be a dad takes a whole lot of give and take. My dad has given me all he could and taken the heat on my behalf on more than one occasion. I guess the first time was when the nurse wouldn't let him carry me out of the hospital after I was born. There began the journey of dad-hood.
Thanks Dad, I love you. Happy Father's Day.
You are too kind to me, I hope to give to you some of the things that I didn't get. Love you all the time with all I have. Dad
ReplyDeleteA message for your dad, Angie: Happy Father's Day, Wayne. You are indeed an example of a dad whose devotion to his child is incredibly exemplary. Thank God for dads like you!
ReplyDeleteA man of God with both feet planted on the ground and a good sense of humor. The hospital story sounds interesting :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great tribute to your dad Angie! Have a great week! Love you,

Sweet post, Angie. And you know I'm kinda fond of your dad too ;) So thankful for the gift God gave us in great dads.
ReplyDeleteI have to say--Wayne is an absolutely wonderful Dad. He learned from mistakes his Dad made instead of becoming like him. Mom
ReplyDeleteYou have truly been blessed with a wonderful Dad, Angie, whose love for you shows in so many ways. Thankful to be his friend. Love you, T.
