One of the most popular tv episodes of the past used to be Oprah's Favorite Things. Yes, it showed the newest high-end products available with no conservative pricing. You could have it if you were willing to pay the price.
What is even better than that to me is to be surprised by a friend for no reason with one of your favorite things. This is what happened to me last night when my friend, Maru, dropped by with her very special homemade flan for me. It's like mexican cheesecake but lighter and fluffier than regular cheesecake, and easier for me to eat. I LOVE IT and I might be part mexican since guacamole is in my list of favorites too. 'It's a God thing' when friends think of you, do things for you and pray for you. Oh, to be blessed beyond measure. To have friends that show their love of God to me in their own way is humbling and priceless. May I be as generous in returning the love and gratitude.

ReplyDeleteOh, my, Angie, you are the quintessential example of generosity. Even your blog is an example. I can never thank God enough for His generosity in giving me a friend like you. I'm afraid I'm very selfish in our friendship, knowing how much I am blessed by knowing and loving you. And I know this is not supposed to be a "pump Angie up" comment area, but I'm just writing my heart.
ReplyDeleteOh angie that is so precious! She is a wonderful example of how we can show God's love. Last year she brought me watermelon 3 days in a row to help with a kidney issue. And just a few days ago Charity brought something by for Dori. Praise the Lord for wonderful friends-centered around Christ! And by the way, i lovelovelove her flan- got any left?
