Till Tomorrow?
Which do you prefer? 'Don't do today, what you can put off till tomorrow.' or 'Don't put off till tomorrow, what you can get done today.' Well that depends on what it is, right? Is it a priority to you or an eye sore that bothers you? There are some things that can be delayed but eventually it will all catch up with you. Like the dishes, you can refuse to wash them but soon there won't be a clean dish in the house.. your time is up.
Our lives are on the clock and we don't know when the alarm will sound. Are you prepared? The decision to believe in God's only Son is one that many people foolishly think they can delay. Tomorrow is not promised to us, but yet we so often take it for granted.
My eternal future is secure in the One who paid my debt for me. You can't pay it yourself so start today in trusting the One who has prepared the way for you.
Priorities....that's the name of the game. We find the time to do what we really want to do. Are we living for this world or for eternity? You are so right...who knows when our last opportunity to believe and give our hearts to Jesus will be? Don't delay...for tomorrow may not be there for the most important decision you will ever make. Love you, my friend...and so thankful our friendship is a forever one! T.
ReplyDeleteI've tried the dishes thing... It's soooo true... Eventually you run out... ;)
ReplyDeleteDid you listen to Dr. David Jeremiah on the radio last night? Just wondering, because he was talking about procrastinating too....or maybe great minds just think alike:-)

Oh, what an important message for life. The old cliche', "Procrastination is the thief of time" is so true. Time can never be recovered. This is an admonition to me not to put off what needs to be accomplished. Time in this life is indeed so short.
ReplyDeleteI beleive that most procrastors get things done by the dead line, it is the eager beavers that set the deadline too early. This only works on the earthly things that don't really matter anyway. With eternal things we don't know when the deadline is up, make the decision for Christ now!!!!!!!!!!!!!Dad
ReplyDeleteI'm a do it now girl. Such a good reminder not to put off the things that will count for eternity.
