Scream
I didn't blog yesterday because when I feel like I have to much to say, I know it is best to say nothing at all. This face painted caption reflects my feelings the past couple of days. I can't write about mercy, patience or forgiveness when I am all out myself. Maybe I should go read some of my own blogs?
Haven't we all felt this way? The best way to keep my mouth shut is to think about my own faults and shortcomings. [sigh] I think about the fact that we are measured with mercy with the same amount we give to others. Then I think, woah I'm in trouble. My friend says 'mercy is not your gift.' I'm trying to give more but it is not easy.
'Blessings are mine, with ten thousand beside' is what I'm trying to focus on.
Hope tomorrow will be a better day. WE've all been there and can identify. I usually hit that point about once a week...
ReplyDeleteSorry Angie....Praying for you.

Some days are better than others, and more are better than the bad days.

Thank the Lord that His mercies are new every morning. And that means new for us! I am so very, very thankful for that. This morning I just had to hold my hands open, asking Him to help me to be an open vessel, taking the bad with the good, and being willing to reckon that the bad is what makes me stronger. Thanks, Angie, for being real. You are deeply loved!
ReplyDeleteWise words, sweet friend. And, a good reminder to us all. My momma always said, "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all."
ReplyDeleteMercy is not my gift, either, Angie. Yet I desire that others be merciful to me. Shame on me. The Bible says, "Love one another, because love covers a multitude of sins". (I Peter 4:8) So thankful that His love and His forgiveness are given to us through His great mercy for us. Now if we can only remember and pray to do the same for others. I hope that I grow greater in the gift of mercy every day. I have a long way to go. Love you, Twylia
