Avoid the Impulse
Haven't we all felt like quoting this caption with a passionate tone in our voice? We've all got the 'I told you so' persona somewhere inside of us. For some it may be close to the surface while others have it hidden deeply. I gave a friend of mine, who is a teacher, a sign that says ''Its my way, or the hallway.'' lol So in some authoritative positions, this is appropriate. I can tell you from experience in losing my independent abilities, that giving that power over is not easy. Sure I've had my routine ways of doing things and for someone else to defer from that and do it another way is not always easy to swallow. Micromanaging tho is not a becoming feature. It can backfire.
We all make mistakes and hopefully learn from them. God could certainly use this quote against us at judgement but He won't. His love carries no record of wrongs because we are cleansed as white as snow through His Son's blood.
Let us point the Way to others without pointing the finger. Remember, we are all a work in progress within His timing.
I sometimes don't see how you do what you do. You have to have, not only a lot of spunk, but also a close walk with God. He has to be sustaining you.You have to be allowing Him to do that. And that is what I see in your blogs, consistently, over time.
ReplyDeleteAngie, this was a super blog. You said it so well. As you well know, I don't have my "I told you so" persona hidden very deeply. I sometimes speak my mind a little too quickly. Mom
ReplyDeleteAlex likes to say, "It's my way or the highway". I just love it when he says that...it warms my heart ;)
